The new Museum of the Walls opens in Bergamo

On September 20, 2024, the Museo delle Storie, together with the Municipality of Bergamo and the UNESCO Secretariat, will inaugurate Mura di Bergamo: the Museum, a new exhibition route dedicated to the history of the Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2017.

This new museum comes to life within Porta Sant’Agostino, the historic gateway to the fortress city for those coming from Venice. Through immersive multimedia installations and physical artifacts, the narration becomes an experience that brings visitors into the heart of the Walls’ construction, a stone diamond filled with history and beauty, still a symbol of Bergamo today.

At the heart of the exhibit is an immersive multimedia experience created by Karmachina. This multimedia design project, in collaboration with Studio Dune, translates scientific research into a journey through time, revealing the intentions, initiatives, designs, and key figures behind the great construction project of the Walls.
