For the Bentley Home spaces within the Salone del Mobile 2019 stand, Karmachina has devised a large corridor- installation to introduce visitors to the new luxury furniture collection born out of a collaboration between Bentley and Luxury Living Group.

The installation, that ranges across two identical walls that run parallel to each other, is comprised of a complex series of geometric constructions, inspired by the lines of one of most celebrated pieces on show: the armchair designed to celebrate the centenary of the historical car manufacturer. The lozenge shape, found on the back of the seat, is redrawn and expanded on the wall; the converging lines and geometric elements give an impression of movement, reminiscent of the dynamic tension found in a racing car: the colours – gold, gun barrel grey and black – recall the chromatic components of the armchair and match the elegance of Bentley motorcars. In the monitors, a synchronised display of images celebrates the bold elegance of the Bentley Home Collection lines. The installation is completed by a spatial sound environment which accompanies the visitor as they walk by : a specially composed musical motif adds rhythm to the visual narrative, while sound design elements highlight the animations and the shifts between different landscapes.
