The new exhibition about Vincent van Gogh at the Mudec in Milan
The exhibition “Vincent van Gogh. Pittore colto” opens today at the Mudec in Milan, produced by 24 ORE Cultura – Gruppo 24 ORE and promoted by the Municipality of Milan-Cultura in collaboration with the Kröller-Müller Museum of Otterlo.
The exhibition itinerary – curated by Francesco Poli with Mariella Guzzoni and Aurora Canepari – is enriched by a large immersive video projection, conceived and created for the occasion by Karmachina: a new homage to the great Dutch artist. avid reader and a tireless experimenter. In his short life he devoured hundreds of books, collected thousands of prints, but “the object in itself was not important to him… his library was stored in his head”. A composition of open books takes visitors in a journey into Vincent van Gogh’s mind, into his universe of literary and artistic inspirations, among books, words and images.
